Frequently asked questions

What architects and investors ask us most.

Why choose glulam over steel and concrete?

It has a high strength-to-weight ratio, stores carbon and its natural surface can be left exposed. Being light, it also reduces foundation and erection loads.

What is the longest beam you can produce?

We produce single pieces up to 45 metres long and 3.3 metres deep. Longer spans are solved with connection details.

What information should I send for a curved beam?

Send the span, the radius or rise of the curve, the section size and the quantity. If you have drawings (DWG or PDF), attach them and we will take off the dimensions.

What determines the price of a glulam beam?

Total volume (m³), section and length, straight or curved form, surface finish, connection details and delivery location. We quote from drawings or an approximate volume.

Do you install as well?

Yes. We take the project from preliminary sizing and connection details through production to installation on site.
