Wood has played an important role in the relationship between people and nature throughout human history, but its use has declined over the last century with the development of artificial building materials. Today, when environmental factors such as climate change and global warming have become critically important, wood—especially as a building material—is regaining the position it deserves. For NASWOOD, which sees wood not only as a material of today but also of the future and specializes in timber production and processing techniques, wooden-house production became a natural next step. Backed by a strong engineering and architecture department, our team created NASHOUSE for wooden-house production. With the advanced machinery acquired through major investments, NASHOUSE today offers three main turnkey house systems to its customers: “FRAME HOUSES”, “LOG HOUSES” and “CLT HOUSES”. The entire process—from logs to the finished structural components that form the wooden house—is completed within our own facilities. Thanks to our strong production line and trained technical staff, we are capable of producing approximately 250 wooden houses per year, each delivered with installation in approximately 15 days.

HOUSE PRODUCTION WITH THE CLT PANEL SYSTEM

Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is a strong timber panel produced by gluing timber lamellas in alternating crosswise layers.nnCLT wooden houses are a building system in which wall panels are manufactured without the need for a separate frame and then positioned on site with the help of a crane.nnOur company is the first and only producer of this system in Turkey. The system has been used and accepted worldwide for many years and is also frequently used in the construction of multi-storey buildings such as apartment blocks.

 

LOG CONSTRUCTION

We manufacture traditional stacked-timber houses, also known as log houses, using modern methods enabled by developing technology.nnThe wall profiles of stacked-timber structures can be either logs or laminated timber.nnWe form the walls by stacking laminated timber beams on top of one another like Lego blocks. All timber components are designed digitally, machined on CNC equipment with approximately 0.2 mm precision, and assembled on site.

TIMBER FRAME

The term frame refers to the structural skeleton that carries a building. A timber-frame structure is a building whose load-bearing system consists of columns and beams.nnA large proportion of the loads acting on a frame structure are transferred to the ground through the columns and beams. The structural system is entirely timber.
